In most cases, receiving donations is tax-free, but in some cases you have to pay taxes on the donations received. When will the donations be paid out?
The donations are paid out every month. You will receive the donations that you have received around the 15th of the following month. The exact moment that the donations are credited to your account depends on your bank and whether or not the 15th falls into a weekend.
What happen if I don't reach my target amount?
We will always pay you all the donations you have received. Even if you don’t reach your target amount. We of course hope you do reach your goal!
Is Whydonate a reliable platform?

Is it possible to make my fundraiser temporarily invisible?
Yes, that is possible. You decide when your page is Visible or not. To make your page invisible, log in to your Account and go to the Dashboard page. Click the Fundraiser tab and switch the Visible button. Your page will not be visible (anymore) until you activate it again.
How do I register a new cause?
At Whydonate it is easy to register a charity and receive donations. It does not matter whether it is a private cause or a non-profit organization. You start by registering your cause on Whydonate. If you have completed all the steps, your page will be displayed directly on Whydonate and you can receive donations. This is possible via multiple payment methods. All donations are paid out monthly on the IBAN you specified. Click on the button below to add your cause.
How do I know for sure that I will receive all donations?
All donations come in on a special third-party account and are kept strictly separate from all other cash flows. A registered accountant has control over this. He also ensures that everything is properly registered with the tax authorities. Every month the donations are paid directly from the third-party account on which they come in to the goals for which they are intended.
I can not find my created Fundraising page. How is that possible?
Your fundraiser page may not be visible in the Whydonate search results as soon as you create the page. To avoid clutter on the platform, only pages that have collected €25.- or more in donations appear in the search results. This is to provide serious campaigns more attention and a greater chance of success. To receive your initial donations, you can share your fundraiser page on social media or directly via URL. As your campaign gains popularity, Whydonate may also choose to promote your page
What information do I receive from my donors?
It is nice to know who donated to your action. That gives you the change to thank the donors for their donation and, if you like, keep them up to date with all kinds of facts regarding the action. That is why Whydonate likes to share this information with you, with the exception of the payment details. What type of cause can be registered?
As long as it concerns delivering a positive social contribution, all charities can register with us. It does not matter whether you are a private person or an organization. It is also not mandatory to have an ANBI registration, CBF quality mark or Chamber of Commerce registration. Add an update to a fundraiser
It is possible to add updates to your Whydonate page. This way you can keep all visitors of the page informed of the progress of your fundraiser. The update can consist of text, images and video. Where can I find and download an overview of all donors?
Whydonate offers an extensive dashboard where you can find all your donors in one overview. With the dashboard you can easily filter by date, text and number of results. By clicking on the 'Download' button you will receive the selected data as a CVS file. Whydonate dashboard overview
Does Whydonate operate in my country?
With Whydonate, you can accept donations from anywhere in the world, with a wide range of national and international payment methods. Donations can be made only in Euros. To receive donations, you need to have an IBAN. Also, your fundraiser should be created in one of the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) countries.
